Who says English is a boring language, it doesn't need to be a serious function of the world. There are so many word games that have interesting ways of improving your language skills, memory, vocabulary, and creativity as well. Crosswords and Scrabble support to provide actual benefits. When you play Scrabble with your friends, it's very beneficial for improving your thinking process because it forces your brain to think about words and lets you think about their meanings strategically. Why is that? Yes! It's because there's a limited number of letters when making words.


The Wordle game is another enthusiastic game for identifying multiple patterns and spellings of words for sure. Oh, well, that makes a quick minute's difference in one's thinking in English. Moving and playing with words helps you remember different meanings, spellings, and usage of words, which helps you speak and communicate confidently with others in real life.


Word games can help teachers reduce the monotony it maintains dynamic language learning environment in the classroom. You can execute new games for language learning by making compound nouns. First, you can say one word that comes to your mind, and then your partner can make another word that matches with your first part to make compound words. You can start it as a simple fun word couple, and then you can proceed with some kind of meaningful words (e.g., table book, round belly to blackboard, world map).

I played the Scrabble game in my childhood, and it was really interesting for improving my vocabulary. Therefore, I applied it to my students after I became a teacher. Regardless of the age gaps, this interesting activity has become an absolutely fun and interactive activity in the language learning classroom. Students actively engage in the activities.
